Fragrant Rice, Superior Jasmine
Thai rice (pronounced "Khao") is a type of rice grown in northern Thailand.
The grain is long, fine and naturally scented with jasmine.
It is transplanted by hand and slowly dried in the sun.
It owes its fame to the delicate scent of jasmine flower that it gives off when cooked.
